The NHRCES Distinguished Faculty Award was established as a special initiative by the NHRCES Board to recognize and celebrate the dedication, passion, and excellence of our faculty. Unlike the Diocesan Golden Apple Award, which allows nominations from anyone, this award is uniquely peer-nominated, ensuring that honorees are recognized directly by their colleagues for their outstanding contributions. During Catholic Schools Week, the winners were surprised and honored by regional staff and NHRCES Board members, making the recognition even more meaningful.
Faculty members were nominated based on how well they exemplify the NHRCES Core Values, which include Faith-Based Education, Academic Excellence, Relationships, Service, and a Safe Learning Environment. These values serve as the foundation of our schools, guiding both educators and students in their daily commitment to faith, learning, and community. In addition to receiving this prestigious award, the recipients and a guest were honored at our second annual Hit the Jackpot with Catholic Schools fundraiser, held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Treesdale Golf & Country Club. This special evening allowed us to further celebrate their dedication and highlight the incredible impact our educators have on the NHRCES community.
