The BTAAA (also known as the Blessed Trinity Academy Athletics Association) is responsible for the direction and management of all of the athletic programs at the school and its mission is to initiate, promote, support and finance those athletic programs for the students attending BTA. The BTAAA also fulfills its mission in the spirit of cooperation with the Pastors of St. Bonaventure’s Parish, St. Mary’s Parish and St. Ursula’s parish and the Principal of Blessed Trinity Academy. The all-volunteer parent Board consists of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Athletic Director and 3-4 “At-Large” positions. Also, each sport has a Program Director whose role is to oversee that particular sport and the coaches.
The following athletic programs are currently being offered: Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer and Track & Field. All of our programs are funded through nominal registration fees and thru fund-raising activities. All of our teams practice and hold their home games or meets on the grounds of BTA either on the outside fields or in the Marcucci Activity Center (MAC).
Cross Country: This highly successful program is a Fall sport with practices beginning in July and the season ending in mid-October. The program is open to all boys and girls in Grades 2-8.
Girls Volleyball: This program is an excellent sport for girls in Grades 5-8. This is also a Fall sport with practices beginning in mid-August and the season ending in late October. The BTAAA also sponsors a tournament in early September.
Basketball: Another highly successful program that has accumulated numerous championships is a Winter sport with practices beginning in early November and the season ending in mid-March. The program is open to all boys and girls in Grades 3-8. Our basketball teams also play in a number of Catholic school tournaments throughout the year.
Soccer: This successful co-ed program is both a Fall sport with practices beginning in late August (Fall) and the season ending in late October and Spring sport with practices beginning in mid-March (Spring) and the season ending in early June. The Spring program is open to all boys and girls in Grades 1-8. The Fall program is based on the number of interested students.
Track & Field: Is a new sport that was started in 2016. This program is a Spring sport with practices beginning in mid-March and the season ending in mid-May. The program is open to all boys and girls in Grades 3-8.
